NOTICE OF ELECTION

By order of the Clay County Board of Election Commissioners, the Village of Birmingham will hold an election Tuesday, April 8th, 2025, to elect three members to the Board of Trustees, each to serve a two- year term.

TRASH SERVICES RATE ADJUSTMENT

Starting June 1st, there is an adjustment to the monthly rate for trash pickup services of $1.26, or $2.52 per water billing period.  This increase reflects the actual cost to the village for trash service by our provider.  The revised rates will appear beginning with the August water bill.

WE NOW HAVE AN ONLINE PAYMENT OPTION

Your water bill will now be mailed to you. If you have questions about your bill or your contact information needs to be updated please contact city hall at 816-389-9598 or at villageofbirminghammo@gmail.com. Bills are due 1/5, 3/5, 5/5, 7/5, 9/5 and 11/5. A late fee of $30.00 will be assessed if your bill is received after the 5th.

If you have not provided your contact information in case of an emergency (on water bill), and would like your information to be added, please email us at villageofbirminghammo@gmail.com. This information is never shared. It is only to be used for emergency purposes.

TRASH

Residents that routinely have more weekly trash than the container will hold, you are now able to obtain additional trash containers, for an additional fee.  Contact the trash company directly at 866-909-4458.  They will bill you separately for this service.

If you have only occasional need, you can purchase stickers to ID the extra trash to be picked up.  For extra trash stickers, please call 816-389-9598 to make arrangements to purchase as many as needed.

Large/bulky items are still picked up the first Friday of each month by prior arrangement.  Call the trash company directly at 866-909-4458 and give them the address of pickup.  Monthly large/bulky item pickup service is included as part of the trash services the village has contracted for.  This service is included in your monthly rate paid with your water bill.
