On behalf of the women and men who volunteer on the Birmingham Fire Department I would like to welcome you to the Village of Birmingham Fire Department. I hope you find this informative. I take great pride and honor in introducing you to our department. The Birmingham Fire Department is a volunteer department comprised of 25 members. We no doubt have some of the most dedicated and talented volunteer firefighters in the Kansas City area. Our department has improved in all areas in the last couple of years and the reason for the improvement is due to the dedication and hard work of our firefighters and support from our community. 
The Birmingham Fire Department’s mission is to deliver high quality fire and emergency services to the Village of Birmingham and our mutual-aid partners.  We strive to focus on the values of providing service in whatever way we can, treating every person with respect, and always honing our craft. 
The Birmingham Fire Department operates out of one fire station in the center of town at 507 Hardwicke Ave.  We provide fire and emergency service with our apparatus consisting of a pumper, quint, squad, and brush truck. We are dispatched by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communication Center. 
The services that the Birmingham Fire Department provide include fire suppression, emergency medical care, haz-mat operations, fire prevention inspections, fire prevention programming, smoke detector installations, chaplaincy services, and many other types of customer focused interactions. We pride ourselves on delivering quality services and being a part of the community.    
I have served the Village of Birmingham as the Fire Chief since May 2022.  I am honored to be able to serve in this position with a very dedicated group of women and men who voluntarily give their time and immense talent to make this organization better every day.  Please feel free to contact us if there are comments, questions, or concerns that we can address.  Thank you for taking the time to look at our visit to the Birmingham, Missouri webpage.
